The first pic looks to me like a 3D render.  If you look at the second sec of pics it does not look nearly as nice.  The monitor is horizontal mount (the first pic it is vert) the blue is a different color etc etc

That is really, really cool. I need to build something like that for my office. Than I would get absolutely no work done at all.  8)

The site, http://www.tablecade.com referenced in the pics does not bring up anything.

Didn't someone from this forum alslo built these mini bartop cabs? I remember a yellow Pacman bartop that looked very similar. I saw something like that (or maybe the same) on internet too.

Someone recently posted pictures of a mini-Pac. If memory serves it used a color PDA of some kind, and was smaller than this one.

Agreed.  Something looks fishy.  But it does look nice.

Crap, you're right!  How'd I forget that.  Well, since they both use Pac-like avatars...

Wow, you're right big time!!!  That is really messed up because the pictures are radically different.

Well I was talking about a cabinet that actually looked almost identical to this one on ebay, but then with a yellow Pacman theme. Can't find it anywhere though.

Here's the one 1UP made (from the other thread). This is the one I was thinking of.

The top pic could be a 3D render, or a different machine altogether.  Top pic has kick panel art, bottom doesn't.  Top panel has black CP, bottom has blue CP with overlay.  Bottom has buttons that are mounted on the vertical face, top does not. etc. etc.

He changed the picture.

The first pic looks like a squished pic of a fullsize upright.
It has the vertical monitor; but also has the full monitor bezel, all the above mentioned cab art, etc...

And I just went back to look at it, and BOTH pics are showing up as what WAS the second one from before.

Well at least he changed the pictures...it was a bit misleading.  Hehe, he probably read this thread!   ;D

 :o

perhaps the seller is on this board.... watching this thread... while you watch his auction ???  Scary, huh?  ::)

Either way... bartop or tabletop... if its not LCD the depth of the monitor takes up too much space for my taste.

Thats probably cause I emailed him and asked him about plans for his cab. I also sent along a link to this thread. He just wrote me back and said that he actually didn't make it and, well, you read it.....

im sorry i did not make it .........i bought it from tablecade......they got
sued by namco and went out of buisness......i paid $1,500
----- Original Message -----

Damn, $1500. I think we could do it a little cheaper.

Are there plans available for that bartop design here on BYOAC?  I just got the urge to make a vertical Ikargua tabletop.

Finally found the one I was talking about. It won a Mamey! That's where I saw it first I guess!

it looks like he took the cabinet off ebay. there were a few other mame cabinets on ebay that have also been removed. they all had copied classic-type arcade art. maybe someone ratted them out to ebay or an arcade company threatened them with a lawsuit. i guess its not a good idea to sell a cabinet with copyrighted artwork.
