Teknoparrot have added ffb support
FFB means Force feedback if you didn't know
Only works on Inital D6 and Initial D7 so far but only one of the devs has a wheel and he can't work out the ffb to work arcade-perfect
It's works with SDL2 and has been left open source (to be fixed by community) is the official statement from them
Plugin goes into game folder and works with Logitech G25 and G27 wheels that I know if, not sure if all wheels
It works but there is issues when turning the wheel and ffb feels wierd...needs some love from a coder who can work it out better
Instructions to make plugin is on source code page
Source code
https://github.com/teknogods/TeknoFfb
One of the devs said
current ffb is literally just the raw data sent to serial but with names from id5 code so all the data is there

Hi Boomslang. Who exactly is Teknoparrot? Can you give a summary of what this is all about?

Hi Boomslang. Who exactly is Teknoparrot? Can you give a summary of what this is all about?
Teknoparrot is a loader/emulator which works on taito type x games, ringedge, ringwide and europa-r arcade systems and a couple others and works with games such as Initial D6 and Initial D7. Sega rally 3,ford racing,Mario Kart DX,Virtua Tennis 4 and many others
It does add jvs input support but also has card reader emulation for initial d6 and d, network emulation for lots of games (network doesn't work normally) etc etc

Thanks guys. Boom you mentioned quite a few games but what about the Wangan games? Is that series supported under those systems? I've never played a WM game before and I hear they're pretty good.

It's been a hectic couple of weeks for me right now. I intend to at least attempt to improve the force-feedback of the plugin once I'm back in the groove of things.

Yeah wmmt4 works. I have it running network over my 4 pcs
But it only runs on ubuntu and is a pain to setup. Quite difficult
It does partially use teknoparrot software as you need it on windows vm for jvs input support for game
That would be excellent Howard.

I just tested the force feedback with initial d 7 seems you have to play around with the settings as its default settings ffb is very light with the G27
