Title: Help with Optiwiz or UHID with a Chase HQ Wheel
Post by: asantora on January 31, 2018, 09:06:07 pm
Picked up an optical wheel from a chase HQ. Would like to use it with a PC setup, but not sure if I should use an optiwiz or UHID. For those of you with experience, any help would be appreciated. Some questions that I have, with either setup:

Are additional buttons such as a shifter or pedal available as additional inputs on the optiwiz PCB?

Does anyone know this optical sensor is (pic below) and if it will work with Optiwiz or UHID?

I assume red is +5vdc and black is ground, does that sound right?

Thank you,

I'm afraid I can't help you too much with your specific questions, but I did use an optipac with a chase HQ cabinet and it worked well.

Here's the little write up i did:

Thanks, will check it out. Also spoke to Andy and he confirmed that I could use the UHID. Will do a write up when finished
