Title: CP joystick neutral wire daisy chain ran out of quick connects
Post by: 80sarcadegames on January 25, 2018, 12:07:15 pm
As per my photos below,  I purchased a jamma wiring harness and cut out the wires to wire up the control panel.
The wiring harness came with a "daisy chained" black wire I used for my neutrals to daisy chain everything but it ran out of quick connects.

I have a pile of wires on the floor as you can see where on the one end of each wire is a quick connect and the other end is just a wire end without anything.

Should I buy some quick connects and buy a tool to add more quick connects to finish daisy chaining everything.
Should I buy a new wiring with more quick connects in the daisy chain?

Here is the very end of the current daisy chain. This was the end that I cut off the jamma harness I guess.
Should I add more daisy chains of quick connects? If so, don't I need a tool to add more quick connects?

Close up of the end of the wire. No more quick connects in the chain.  :'(

And below is the jamma wiring harness after I cut the wires off.

An example of the extra wires I have cut from the jamma wiring harness that I may have to use to add to the daisy chain.   :banghead:
One end has a quick connect , the other is just an end of wire.

The reason you ran out of QDs is because the CP you've built does not fit the JAMMA Standard:

Games that had more than 3 buttons required an additional harness, called a kick harness due to the fact that most of the games that required the additional harness were fighters.

Anywho... onto moving forward with your project. Buy some insulated QDs, a little bit of wire, and a cheap crimper down at your auto parts store and just keep building off that daisy chain.

I guess I need to buy female QDs.
There are a few different sizes.
Is this the right size?
