Not sure if any of you guys have come across this before, It seems it was from 2011 but I have never heard of it until I stumbled across it today while doing my normal kind of stuff LOL
Anyways for those who have not heard of it well here it is:
https://archive.org/details/Golden_Axe_Myth
Its a free to download fan made tribute game.
Its pretty good tbh and is built using the BOR engine.

I read something somewhere about this game... It's a prequel to the Golden Axe saga, developed with openbor. Frames are 100% original and drawn by an italian artist (Oscar Celestini). The legend tells that the coder is a nice and brilliant guy now living in Tibet with his 5 young wifes... Coders life...
Before leaving, he left a download link on top of this page:

I could never get this working on Xbox. It seemed interesting.
-
Yeah ive not had time to fully play it through yet just the 1st level but it seems to play ok and the GFX are nice.
Sort of old skool look but much softer.
-
Will have to install openBOR on my rpi3. ;)

It will never run on xbox or other consolles: openbor is (was?) a fast growing engine at the time, and mods should be played on the exact version they where developed (and commonly distribuited) with. Back compatibility was not a priority. Not sure how the situation is now (when lavalit was closed, losing years of topics and info collection, I left the scene).

I believe there was supposed to be a version for xbox, wii and a few others.
Dunno if the ever came out though.

There are various consolles ports of bor and openbor but those games/mods work good only on the version they where/are developed with. If you are luky enought to find the very-exact version port and the consolle is up to spec to run the game (especially RAM) you are golden, but most of the times it is not the case

Well, I haven't seen a single game on BOR that didn't run like ---steaming pile of meadow muffin---... so....

I am not here to take the part of OpenBOR or it's community, but this is not respectful nor objective.

Welcome to BYOAC, I see you've finally met PBJ...

Everything I’ve played has been janky sprites ripped out of Neo Geo fighting games and in an engine with bad controls and terrible collision detection. I’m happy to be proven wrong. I made it 5 minutes in this before it pissed me off too much to keep playing.

Nice to meet you pbj :D
