Title: Howdy!
Post by: DaOld Man on January 02, 2018, 02:41:16 pm
Ive been off here for awhile, hopefully I can change that this year.
First of all, a late Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to everyone. I hope you have a wonderful year.
Now I got to get back to catching up on all the new posts. There are so many!

Have I missed anything monumental?

Hey bud! Ond seems to have self-nuked all his content. Other than that it seems a bit slow this past year.

Thanks guys. Not sure if I can make it to zapcon this year, but I do plan to retire in the spring so I should have a lot of free time then, so maybe next one?
Been too cold to work on projects, got down to 3 degrees F last night. (My work shed is not heated or even insulated, thats a project I really need to work on.)
On the back burner i have a bartop lucky 8 lines Ive been working on, also another photo booth using a RPi. And of course my Barrel of Kong replica, which I have had in the corner of the shed for years now.
On software side, Ive been working on a project for a friend that will go on his slot race track, time the cars and keep a record of best times and races won. Using infrared LED sensors to detect the cars.
I can post that project if you guys are interested. Nothing real fancy though.
Looks like i need to get back to the problem with joychoose and the newer mala or mame.xml versions.

OND pulled a Tullley on us and removed all his work??? Shame on him, he had a lot of good resources posted.

Whats you guys latest projects?
Was santa good to you?

I'm fiddling with a Xenon pinball between cold snaps. It's been single digits here so nothing got done over the break. Other projects are waiting on either current project completion or component fabrication that is outside of my direct influence...so a lot of Netflix ha!

Santa was good, I got myself a newish used phone and promptly dropped it and borked the screen - so the amazon gift card I got has already come in handy :doh
