Title: Seeburg ay160 help needed
Post by: georgetwo922 on January 01, 2018, 04:19:22 pm
I refurbished a 1961 ay 160, and it plays great, but I have a problem with the chassis being at a high voltage compared to the line earth ground. I see 800 or so volts between the metal frame and chassis to the line ground, which results in a hazard of getting shocked when touching another appliance and the jukebox at the same time. I'm wondering if this could be a faulty transformer? I have re capped the entire chassis and replaced some of the selenium diodes, but not the bridge rectifier, as it seems to check out ok when metered. Any help with this would be appreciated.

Talk to Mr. Ron Rich over at the Seeburg jukebox forum:

He is an expert with almost every model of Seeburg jukeboxes and has written several Seeburg jukebox repair books.
