I've been running hard guess the game competitions on RaceDepartment for a while now. The current one is futuristic racing games. Go here to play: http://www.racedepartment.com/threads/guess-the-game-v2-virtuaicemans-quiz-round-4-futuristic-racers.145390/ (http://www.racedepartment.com/threads/guess-the-game-v2-virtuaicemans-quiz-round-4-futuristic-racers.145390/)

Wow, I'd never heard of any of those before (apart from WipEout), I never would've guessed there were so many other games in the genre.
-
Super list. I think I see quantum redshift in there and... super easy 5... power drive?
-
Neither of those are in there, it's all PC games. One day I'm going to record some gameplay of all my games I think. Should take months!
-
My mistake, I meant "PowerSlide", not power drive. Fantastic game, especially with the ingame cheats that allowed you to drive up the buildings. The ski jump was awesome, my buddies and I played that online to death, each competing who could just farthest

Powerslide isn't in there. Did you know a PS2 sequel called Powerslide Slipstream was in development, until Ratbag Games went under.
-
I guessed quite a few of 'em but VirtuaIceMan has really dug out some rare old PC games to get our brains working overtime on this one!
Thanks again for the quizes, loved playing along with them all :)
Now tell me the bloody story behind why WipeOut PC ISN'T what it seems to be!!!!!! Aggghhhh ;)

I've revealed the games now. Does anyone know these unreleased games? Final quiz! http://www.racedepartment.com/threads/guess-the-game-v2-virtuaicemans-quiz-final-round-unreleased-racers.145703/ (http://www.racedepartment.com/threads/guess-the-game-v2-virtuaicemans-quiz-final-round-unreleased-racers.145703/)

Holy crap! I can't name the regular games and now you post unreleased ones?!
A lot of these old PC games are actually very good except for the draw distance.
It's a shame there isn't a hack to improve the draw distance for them.
