I bought a twin Kobe’s with a go7 that wouldn’t turn on, after replacing the power supply I got it to work but the top of the screen was curling so I did a cap kit and the sync mod that the instructions for the cap kit told me to do. Now I am getting a black screen, I hear it turning on and I see neck glow but nothing comes on the screen, it doesnt even seem like the screen is lighting up at all. The b+ voltege ranges between 119.8 and 120.1 now that I adjusted it. Any advice on how to fix it?

I’m wondering if the vhold could be causing this because this is what the previous owner did, the adjustment pot is broken and I think might be causing the issue. Does anyone know where to get a replacement
-
Arcadepartsandrepair.com has a G07 chassis pot kit

I replaced the four pots but still had the same problem but then I discovered that the fly backs screen setting was set wrong and then I started getting a picture but I can’t seem to get the picture to hold on the screen. After more than an hour of adjusting this is the best I could get it to look. I’m pretty sure all the pots are in the right spots but I just can’t get a solid pic. It’s going to the right and down

using wrong polarity sync connector
-
How would I fix that, the sync cable is only one wire that goes to the two connectors on the board
-
I tried reversing the sync mod and checking the sync cable for continuity, I got continuity but even after reversing sync mod I still got the problem

Post pictures of how you have the sync wired.

Here you go

Acording to the twin cobra manual it uses negitive composite sync

Impossible for me to see where you've plugged in the sync. Your picture is too dark.
Here is Bob Roberts' writeup on sync:

Just scroll down to the Electrohome section.

Here is a better photo, the sync cable only plugs in one way but from the link you sent me it appears that it should plug in with the wires on the other side, the previous owner broke the other spot for a wire on the connector so I’m not sure how I would fix this, but the game was holding a picture before the cap kit so I don’t know how it could be this.

Your sync connector is plugged in wrong. You're going to need to scoot the connector over one pin to the left on that 3 pin connector.

It fixed it, thank you, you are the best, I can’t believe it was such a silly mistake
