I just received an order of Groovy Standard Soft-Touch switches and am confused, as they say Zippy on them. The photos on GGG and the description indicate that they are a custom switch, made by GGG.
What am I missing?

Did you reach out to GGG and ask them?

Of course, but wanted to post here with the goal of a quicker answer

Probably a special order set from Zippy that are to the GGG specs they sent them - a lot of manufacturers will make things for other companies with their specs but they use the same injection molds with their logo for the casing rather than pay to make a new set of dies with say GGG logo instead of Zippy. Pretty normal practice.

Thanks! The picture on their site shows Groovy as the logo on the mold, thus my question.

Yeah,
GGG likes to take off the shelf stuff, tweak it or modify it, and rebrand it as their own.
I do not know whether the switches have been modified or are the same as stock.
(most likely special ordered with a lower activation pressure)
I'm sure Randy will be along to explain.

He is not a manufacturer. What are you expecting?

The product I received didn't match the image in the site, so it's a fair question. I love GGG buttons and am not criticizing them. Just looked to confirm these were GGG modded switches

Hadn't seem the pic on the website - so yeah best bet is to contact GGG and check - It's always possible they had a new batch made that has the Zippy logo but also is possible someone grabbed the wrong item - so only way to know would be to ask them.
