Title: Intermittent Speaking of Controls in LEDBlinky
Post by: spiffo on December 18, 2017, 01:58:24 pm
Hi, so I've got LEDBlinky setup to speak the names of the controls on Game Start.

The problem is it only seems to do it about 1 in 10 times, I'm unable to discern a pattern as to why it sometimes works but mostly doesn't. I figure that I must have the right boxes ticked or it would never work at all.

I'm running the GameEx FE on a Windows 10 Machine, does anyone else experience intermittent behaviour in the speaking of controls or is there something specific to my setup?

Like I say there appears to be no pattern to when it decides to work, it doesn't seem to depend on the game or the Emulator, without any repeatable pattern to it I am at a loss to know what is going on???

Make sure you don't have "Any Key" checked for Abort Speech (on the Game Options tab).

arzoo, you are a star :-)

That's been on my list of things to fix for about 3 months, only weird thing is, if you untick it, save,  then go back in it's re-ticked itself again ???

I had to 'pick' at least one key to use as an abort otherwise it just kept re-ticking 'Any Key' so I picked '1' which is Player 1 Start

Otherwise, all good, thanks a lot !
