Post by: saiyan7702 on December 08, 2017, 11:27:22 pm
whats up guys new here and ive about ready to smash my face into the computer screen trying to setup a vertical cab. I downloaded hypertate and while windows is set to normal (landscape) mode hyperspin will boot and be vertical. ok great but when i launch a mame game its not vertical. Also i have Pinball FX i would like to be vertical as well. I would really appreciate some help here. thank you

I believe you want to edit your mame.ini file and set ror to 1 (should be 0 by default)

tried it, works when you launch mame alone but not when hypertate lanches it

I’m not actually very familiar with hypertate, but I’ve run into this before with other frontends that run mame as a user other than yourself.  There is likely a different mame.ini file somewhere you’ll need to edit.  Otherwise, if hypertate supports mame command line options, you can set it to add -ror when starting a rom.

I don’t use hyper spin either 😉

From what I can find: Under wheel settings, emulator, MAME, then the params block.
Don’t know if that’s correct, but it’s what I found in about 30 seconds of googling.
