Hello and thanks in advance.
I did some searching of the site but not sure I know the correct terms for what I'm seeking.
Games like Asteroids, Warlords, Space Invaders, Omega Race, Warrior had backgrounds that helped embellish the screen.
What is the procedure or steps for obtaining and installing something like this?
For example, I have warrior up and running from MAME148 on a win7 PC, but you can't see the overlay so you can't tell where the pitfalls are when sword battling.
I'd really like to introduce the kids to cool old head to head games like Warrior.
Any resources or links to other threads that will give a step-by-step on the process?

In the Mame Tab menu under Video options make sure you have Backdrops Enabled - if it is disabled they will not show !

I just checked that area (Didn't know it existed). it says backdrops enabled.
Where would I find then install the backdrop images in MAME?
mine must be missing.

The .zip file goes into the MAME\artwork folder, if I remember correctly.
