Hi All,
I'm in the final design stages of my cabinet - right now the design has the center of my screen at the 48.5" mark at the moment. Looking at a few commercial cabinet designs I think I'm a bit on the low side and should maybe be at the 52-53"" level?
Can anyone recommend an ergonomics guide for this?
FWIW: I'm 5'11"
Thanks!

Build it so its comfortable to you as you will be playing more than anyone else.

Experiment. There's no substitution for actual testing.
On an arcade cab, the angle of the screen plays a big part so there isn't a height that applies to all cab designs.
Tilted further=mounted lower
No kids playing=mount higher
Dimensions of my cab are in the thread linked in my sig, but I have no idea what the actual height of the monitor is.
It's just what felt right.

Thank you - I think I can mock something simple up out in the shop and see..
The universal answer to everything: It depends :)
I'm betting I may be a little on the low side.. for monitor height..

When I built mine I first worked out the CP height by measuring
The height to my wrists when in a comfortable playing position.
Then worked out the monitor position based on having it slightly higher. Which for my angle etc worked out about 3” higher than the CP.

I'm certain I have a good CP height and angle..
thanks for the tips.. I'll set up things just to make sure I dont get a sore neck.
The reason I'm rethinking is that my game is Centipede.. my trackball will be about the same height.. but the center of my monitor is ~4" lower..
I'll recheck the angles.
