Title: Button 5 not working for Player 2 Cabinet
Post by: ransom1122 on October 25, 2017, 12:01:40 am
Hi,

I recently changed over all my arcade buttons with LED buttons on a 2 player (6 button each) and Two start buttons.... All my buttons function correctly with RetroPie or in DOS prompt when you quit REtroPie except for button 5 for player 2. It seems all wired in together correctly as i basically replaced the buttons with new ones.

I have a JPAC (as pictured) tried moving the wire to a different input in jpac but still no responce with button 5 on player 2. (Button 4 = W & BUtton 6 = K for player 2 which are working"

I tried replacing the microswitch which did not fix the problem..

I tried taking out the crimp and direct connect the purple wire to the middle terminal of the microswitch and it didn't do anything?

I have attached photos so hopefully someone can help me fix this problem..

I figured it out, one of the buttons wasnt grounded properly.

On a side note, If I add extra 6 buttons and assign them in the extra inputs of the jpac, Can I reconfigure them inputs with RetroPie/MAME to do what I want? Like insert coin, or even Pause?

Yes, extra inputs can be assigned to any key/function.

This is a very old board, 8 years plus, so the older version of WinIPAC will be needed for configuration. Drop me an email if you need assistance.

Hi Andy,

I think I spoke with you in regards to the red Mag Stick Pro Stick stock levels. :) anyhow..

Yes this Jpac is old more lie 10-12 yrs old, still working like a gem, Passed on from an on PC with MAME, to now a Raspberry Pie 3 with MAME, If I run into any hassles, I now know who to ask. Many thanks.
