From KLOV:
Game Introduction
A boxing game where you mash opponents to a pulp.
There are eight different opponents and each has a different nationality: Knockout Nick, U.S.A.; Red Falco, England; Iron Drago, Russia; Steel Fist Fritz, Italy; Mad Mongol, Mongolia; The Bronx Bruiser, Brazil; The Harlem Hitman, nationality unknown; and The Black Stallion, U.S.A.
In Japan, this game is known as Hard Puncher.
Game Play
Compete against your friends or advance through increasingly harder opponents. Training rounds occur every two to three fights. These training rounds improve one of your three qualities: speed, stamina and power, depending on how well you do at the training.
The first player controls Jabbin' Jim and the the second player controls Gentleman Joe. If the second player wins a two-player game, Gentleman Joe advances to the other opponents in the regular game.
You must defeat the first seven opponets to get to The Black Stallion, the undefeated champion. If you beat this final opponent, you will become the champion.
Last Day: Sunday, November 5th, 2017

I liked this one back in the day. Nobody was ever on it at the arcade and I got pretty decent at it. I recall that I had better luck concentrating on speed during the training and just pummeling the opponents to a pulp.

Pass. This I don't care about one bit. Matches take way too long, I'm just mashing buttons and running around like a madman (or a headless chicken, depending on my stamina).

I'll have to try it that way. I was almost entirely power/stamina here, but finally made it past the first guy.

This game seems to reward a fairly realistic strategy. I moved in, just enough to trigger the opponents punches, avoided them, and hit him with a combo. (Head, head, body on the first guy). Was 2% away from a KO on the second opponent here.

Pong was the last good sports game. It all went downhill from there.
Still, this is kinda sorta OK-ish...
I got to the 3rd guy, Mad Mongol, on my 2nd game. Did some ball-punching challenge to get more stamina.
Praying that 461,200 holds. I'm too busy these days...

Got to the third opponent. Think I found the optimal attribute balance: lessen your stamina, and have power and speed even. You can make up for stamina with your own skill.

Only took an hour or so to get my cabinet working again after I said, "hm, I should fix that burnt out credit light."

I don't know if anyone has a score they're keeping in their back pocket, but as much as I try, I can't beat my best.
I'm genuinely surprised at just how much I ended up enjoying this one though.

pbj, your turn.

It was bound to happen by default eventually. How about Windjammers? Doesn't look like it's been done before and it's a fun game...

PBJ, are you making a new thread? Or are you waiting on us, and we'll just do one up for windjammers?

Can... can... you do it?
