Title: What is the best way to mount a bezel?
Post by: Jakobud on October 15, 2017, 11:23:30 pm
I have this kind of setup with a suspended LCD in the middle:

What is the best way to do a bezel here? I was going to make and order a bezel from GameOn Grafix. I was planning on a layer of plexi in front of the bezel. Do I need to put wood behind the plexi on the inside of the cabinet order to keep it from falling back into the cabinet on the sides? How do people typically secure the plexi in place too?

I’ve used a piece of 1/4 board with great results.

So 1/4 plywood surrounding the entire monitor and then bezel directly on top of that?

I guess it would be nice for the bezel and plexi/glass to be as close to the screen as possible instead of adding 1/4 inch in there.

Make the monitor fit inside the 1/4" wood.  ::)

Looks like you could do with a bigger monitor in there??

I'm guessing he wants 4:3, and 20.1" is the biggest I can readily find, too...

Yes. You’re not going to notice 1/4 inch. If you do, you’re too anal retentive for this hobby. ;)
