Thanks , I only see Linux version . There

sorry, just looking at the versions getting pushed out.... it seems versions quickly went from 184, 185, etc to 188 during july to beginning of august.
it's basically all linux now since it's much more controllable and stable...but it seems there are windows versions upon request.
i'm sure if you contact "Calamity" a special version can be done up for you in the version you request.
-
Thanks for the reply. I did ask but no go. I am trying to compile my own , but I am not succeeding. I will keep trying .
-
why 185 ?
try 187 version from haynor out there.
-

Just to be clear, Windows is still the preferred OS (due to lower input lag potential) and it's also the main target. The situation on the download page was misleading (http://forum.arcadecontrols.com/index.php/topic,151459.msg1632411.html#msg1632411).

I dunno, I just found the offending information here:
http://emulation.gametechwiki.com/index.php/GroovyMAME (http://emulation.gametechwiki.com/index.php/GroovyMAME)
GroovyMAME, also known as GroovyUME, is a fork of MAME/UME with greater emphasis on CRT monitor support, in order to provide smoother gameplay with less input lag than using regular MAME on an LCD screen. It is available as both a downloadable emulator and as a GNU/Linux live CD, as Linux is the preferred platform for using it.
of course... if this isn't the case, by all means go ahead and edit the wiki page therin.

Right! That's makes sense then. Documentation... so hard to get it right and keep it right without a full time team. :(

I find much easier and effective searching through forums than reading documentation. I do it all day in my job for CAD stuff. Often you already have an overall idea and just need an answer for some specific detail, and chances are it has already been answered in a forum. Documentation is linear and usually bypasses your particular issue.

If you really need 0.185 in particular let me know what kind of build you want and I'll make you one. It'll have to be 64 bit though, for some reason I have probs creating anything else.
Full MAME + MESS or just MAME?
D3D9EX patch?
Suppression?
