I'd love to have something like it, as I have a few 'real' ASIO soundcards cards laying around to pair with my old-ish XP 32bit PC builds. Thanks!

PortAudio is not good enough ?
-
Yeah, PortAudio has superseded ASIO, dude.

I know, and there are finally x86 builds for 0.190. But since the d3dex switch my old video cards (Radeon 70000 and X300) can't run recent GM versions anymore. Chicken and egg ...

Do You have still AGP slot? You know used PCs are really cheap these days. Anybody can afford at least Core2Duo with some decent HD4350.

I have a Core 2 Duo, and a midrange i5/gtx970 rig (which works surprisingly well with GM using Mame's HLSL and an Asus LCD monitor that actually supports switchres, with a range of available refresh rates from 49 to 64 hz). I have all kinds of hardware, old and new. It's just a shame having to decommission some. Also, the documentation tends to lag the current requirements.

There is d3d build still available but even this one might not work with pre DX9 cards. This probably not groovymame fault but main mame design.

What version do you mean? 0.190 d3d9ex is indeed available.

My mistake, I corrected previous post :)

x64 only from what I can tell. I tried some x86 d3d 0.182 builds, and they indeed didn't work.
