Title: Some games work, some don't. Video problem?
Post by: andyshan on January 29, 2004, 08:21:23 pm
I've set up my cab now based on a Sis 6326, Hantarex9000, Jpac, PentIII450. It runs AdvanceMenu and AdvanceMAME which runs fine. However, *some* games refuse to run, i.e. the new zealand story, and pacman just runs in wierd colours, (he's blue rather than yellow! - strange)...

Is there any vibe drivers (i think they are called vibe, or uvibe or something) i need to download, and if i do need them, what do they actually do?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Any games that refuse to run are likely a shortcoming in your advmame cfg rather than a video driver.  you may have to do some more tweaking in your advmame.cfg (is that its name--been awhile) to get all the video modes you need)  http://www.mame.how.to/  is a great resource

i've seen that page before, however i'm a bit baffled... should i download the monarc software... and that should help in DOS and AdvanceMAME?
