its a custom pop n music controller, which im pretty obsessed with and this is already PS2 hacked. the buttons for that are 3.90 a piece from Wico, plus its hacked onto a PS PCB, and made into a nice box etc. do you think its worth buying or should i attempt to make my own? i know i can do all of that except the PCB soldering im scared of heh. anyway what do you guys think

This looks very similar to a project someone did here on BYOAC where they made a 2 player PS2 marvel v.s. capcom control panel out of a wodden box/case and could take it around to friends houses.
The construction of this one looks great to me. Depends on how much it gets bid up to...but since time=money in my life, I would pay a little extra to get one now then suffer through finding more free time to build one myself. IMHO.

yeah thats true, it still has 5 days left so i have some time to think about it. look at the inside pic it doesnt even look like he used the PS PCB it looks like its just a terminal strip with wires coming from the buttons on one end and wires from the controller wire on the other. is it possible to do it like that or is it just hard to see from that angle

The PCB is very small (and hard to see in that pic). Its glued to the inside back panel. Yes you need the pcb.

You should just build it,its not too hard.The box looks plain and square anyway. Soldering a 3rd party ps pad is REALLY easy.Contacts are huge and I dont see why you can't.

yeah i have Pop N Music greatest hits on PS2, its an import i dont think it was ever released here. I first played it when i was in NY they have one in the chinatown arcades and i was addicted. it was like 65$ with shipping for the import from ebay, i bought it a couple months ago. oh yeah and i have a japanese PS2, a little more then getting a mod chip but you have 2 PS2s which you can setup in 2 places, 1 in arcade machine one in room, hehe

ive often made public my love for pop'n music. i have 1 and 2 for the dreamcast, but dont have any of the ps2 versions. will have to try them out sometime. i am thinking about making my own controller as well.
I would think about getting this one, but not with that $35 shipping charge.

its all in japanese... i know a decent amount of common japanese words and also ive been using a japanese-english dictionary a lot playing FFonline with japanese friends. but all that aside.. its a music game. its not like you need to read anything you pick a song and play =P
and yeah i think ill end up making my own that shipping price is too much, and the bid is going pretty high
