So, just got my first arcade cabinet over the weekend from a custom builder. It's a 4-player cabinet with trackball, spinner, and an IPAC-4. I spent the weekend going through and fixing some wiring issues, broken switch, etc. and am not too happy with the builder - but that's a different topic.
Anyway, I'm finding out that although the IPAC-4 works great for MAME it does not work so well for newer PC games. I was hoping to get at least a few PC games working on the cabinet, for example the newest iterations of Mortal Kombat, Street Fighter, the newer Pac-Man games, etc.
So far I have only tried to get Mortal Kombat X working and what I thought would be easy appears to be either impossible or very challenging.
Is the IPAC-4 the way to go nowadays, or is there something else I should consider before digging too heavily into this?
Does anyone have a good, reliable solution to get Mortal Kombat X working with the IPAC-4?
Thanks in advance.

Can you not just rebind the keys in mk x?

No. It's strange, it does not recognize the "key" presses from the I-PAC. I read a few discussions on it, will need to read more.

You may want to read through this topic. Not sure if it works with MKX, but it might.
