Title: Using an Arcade Button for the Power Button on a Barcade Mini-PC.
Post by: hotgraphics on August 28, 2017, 01:54:19 am
Hi, I was wanting to use this arcade button as a power button on my mini arcade/barcade cab, so I can switch on the mini pc from outside the cab. The microswitch has 3 tabs on it, NC(2), NO(3) & COM(1). Now I presume that NC(2) & NO(3) are to wire the button to the Zero Delay (or in this case to the power button on the mini pc) or whatever you're using, but what is COM(1) for?. Also do you think it will work using this arcade button as a power button wired up to the power button on this mini pc?, it's a HP EliteDesk 800 DM G1 i5 4570t. Thanks. :)

Com = common
NO = normally open
NC = normally closed.

Look at the drawing on the side of the switch that is its "normal" state when not pressed.

The pc power button will be a momentary NO switch so you wire your button the same.

1 wire to the COM and one to NO.
