So I finally got around to mounting a 25" tube in my centipede cabinet, ever after everyone told me not too since it would be too big ;)
Well it can be done, I found a 25" tube for free from a TV repair shop and we test mounted it this weekend. It fit with about 5/8" on each side. It occured to me that after we had it mounted that it is probably best to mount the tube so the mounting ears are rest on the front of the mount. That way they are taking most of the weight rather then the lag screws that are currently holding it up. I really doubt the lag screws would come undone however. Anyways here are the pics:

(The white on the t-molding is paint, don't worry it is getting replaced once it is moved back home)

are you interfacing it to a computer? what type of connection are you using?

Can you still close the back door of the cabinet without smashing the neckboard?

Yup there is lots of room between the neck and the rear panel.

I'm importing a chassis for it from jennshin and I'll be using an arcadeVGA card to drive it. The chassis I'm getting has alot more features then the 8liners chassis from the sounds of it, pincushion control along with remote adjustments are included. I'll post a full report once I get it and try it out.

What is Jennshin, I have never heard of it--sounds japanese--is this where it's imported from?

It is the company that manufactures the chassis that 8liners sells along with many other arcade/gaming related items. It is in Taiwan.

Can you still close the back door of the cabinet without smashing the neckboard?
Here is a picture if anyone is interested, you can see there is still a few inches from the back of the neck board to where the back door sits.

I've been in contact with on of their sales ladies there. They have an arcade chassis which will work on 25" tubes but it also has the adjustment board on wires so you can adjust the monitor from the front and it has pincushion adjustment.
The price is really good if you order in quantity (around $50) but sample pricing is closer to $100US. Not sure if it is worth the trouble of getting something shipped from Taiwan or if I should just order the model that Vic from 8liners.com sells.
