Title: PS3 SCART -> VGA Adapter - > RGB
Post by: bimm25e on August 24, 2017, 04:29:18 pm
so anyone know of an adapter with a female scart input that has a VGA(DE-15) on the other side?
I want to use a ps3 scart cable to get RGB signal then send it through a jpac's vga port and I'm hoping to avoid sending an analog signal though an ebay SCART coupler if possible.

thanks!

If that adapter existed, it would confuse a lot of people because it won't work on a vga monitor..

It's not too hard to solder one up, though!

I'm surprised you don't go the hdmi to vga route.

Btw, what is the resolution output you're planning to use?

Well I have a cabinet, with a 15 kHz monitor in it

I use a J-PAC  to pass a computer with CRTEmudriver through VGA to the 15khz monitor.

I want to wire in a KVM that switches audio and video going to the J-PAC between the PC and an empty Female SCART port that will take RGB from a console (modded if need be)  and shoot it to the screen through the J-PAC (video amp) and my audio amp which both go straight to the cab.

I have a female scart port but need to wire it up still, audio L/R is easy enough but what pins do I need to wire the RGB (don't care about component/composite/s-vid) video signal between the scart socket and the DB-15 (vga) pins going tinto the J-PAC?
