Hey Guys,
I noticed on Aliexpress that they sell all kinds of arcade kits. They are very cheap and price and many look like Haps. Anyone try those sets? They sell them usually with Zero Delay encoders....
thanks
Jim

I guess I'm using the Zero Delay controller. Bought my buttons and joysticks off Amazon. Seeing that these kits actually exist is what got me into building a cabinet.
The set I bought is great. Sanwa stick, very good quality. Buttons are fine. I bought new leaf switches though, the ones that came with the buttons were crap.
The kits are easy because it is USB plug and play. Read the reviews - some are better than others. Some are made for thick control panels, some thin, so be aware.

I recently experienced one of these cheap sanwa style stick kits.
Helped a friend mount a setup in a desktop panel.
It was extremely easy since all the connectors were simple plug n play, the end results were nice and clean for the wiring layout.
The buttons he got in the kit were designed to click into a metal panel and kinda cheap. so we had to improvise with some normal barrel buttons.

Hey
I have seen some of these being sold with happ style buttons.. wondered how they compare....? I bet you get what you pay for however you never know.

You get what you pay for. Always the case. Buttons may look the same, but the switches could be different etc. Granted I am still learning, I see definite pros and cons in crertain products. The legit Happ Buttons I have and the Chinese generics are about 90% equal. The happs have a little more fit and finish IMO, but could be totally psychological. Pay attention to the microswitches used, thats the thing that makes it all work. If its crap, the plastic component wont make up for the shortcoming electronically. YMMY.
