Did you read that last bit? How in the world is there that big of a market there? 1.2 million? From arcade sales?

Something isn't adding up with that story.... there's no indication on their website that they're hustling multi-boards or anything other than uninspired JAMMA cabinets...

Yeah...  The Kotaku article is longer than the linked source.  I almost guarantee that fake arcade machines are the tip of the iceberg there.

Nahhh

I'm totally pissed off.  I wanted to shop them.

Namco probably read my previous post, and decided to act.  Is there enough evidence there for a rico charge?

Tich, you seem to reply in any case.   No please don't bother, thank you.

So there seems to be a huge business for expensive arcade cabinets with 3000 games in San Francisco, most likely with no spinners.

Nature abhors a vacuum.  Anyone here have a decent business plan that doesn't include jail-time?

I know this isn't making as big a news as I was expecting, but I'm having some thoughts on whether this was just targeted enforcement, or will there be fallout against multi-board manufacturing?

Multiboards have been openly sold on our largest commerce platforms for a decade.  Nobody cares.

I picture a board meeting at Namco where they are scrounging for revenue and someone there brings up the fact that the local purveyors of multi-boards seem to be driving nice cars.
