Hi all!
I have a pair of Mag-Stik Plus joysticks from Ultimarc. They swap from 4-way to 8-way.
In 8-way mode, they seem to work fine. When I swap to 4-way, it takes a lot of pressure to activate the switches.
How's the best way to fix this? Bending the little leaf / lever?
Thanks!

I would think if it works in 8 way ok the problem is not in the switches/levers.
Is the stick built correctly? Specifically the little part that makes contact with the switches.

Does it do the same thing when switching with the handle and the little lever?

Yes, it's the same whether I use the lever, or if I pull up on the stick.
The up and down work fine. The side-to-side doesn't activate the microswitch unless I _really_ push it hard.

So, here's what I ended up doing: I used layers of electrical tape to shim between the micro switch and the little lever. This placement prevents any rubbing from movements of the joystick.
We'll see how durable this fix is.
