I know this is extremely basic to some , but i a, trying to understand this lol. Does the smaller the gage amount mean the smaller diameter of the wire? Now, does that have anything to do with how stiff the wire is? Also, does it really matter much rather you use 14 or 18 gage wire for the positive leads? I just see alot of people using different stuff, but what is "the norm"? It doesn't seem like it would matter much as its not sending alot fo current through the wire.
You can get them at Radio Shack, but they don't typically sell them in large quantities. They also package them with the male connectors so you end up with a bunch of crap you don't want. And it's far more expensive.
How's Fort Wayne doin'? Ever since they got rid of Aladdin at Southown Mall and Tilt at Glenbrook I hated living there. :P Well, not really, but life wasn't as fun. Maybe it was just me but those two were kickass arcades.
Just received a package, and now have many MANY disconnects.

Couldn't help my self :-)
Still have some? I'll have to send a money order as I have a credit card.
OK, so I made my default language Tongan. What the heck is it? ;) I didn't sign up yet, but can you accept CC this way? Otherwise it's snailmail with a check. :)
1) I just bought a bunch of buttons from Happs with the cherry switches & some Super Joy's. Will these fit those switches & Joys?
2) I already purchased 18 gauge wire. Will 2 18 Gauge wires fit into one of those disconnects? I plan on daisy chaining my ground wires.
3) Do you ship to Canada?
I *just* received a message from my supplier, the part is backordered until mid June. I'll post here when they're back in stock.Peale,
I'm going to be ordering 2 T-stick pluses to go along with my Happ microswitch buttons. What size disconnect should I order?
Are those .187's? They look like .250's...
Color dosen't matter, but I'm not sure about size. It's for buttons and then into a JAMMA connector so whatever you think is the best. I need the wire with it. How long will it take? Thanks. M
right, I meant, it doesn't matter to me, give me the best size IYO and I'm good with the color, cool?
Back in stock! Well, almost. They'll be here Monday morning. I got .187" red and blue, and more wire.
Sweet, which one matches with your wire?
I just like your sig man!Sweet, which one matches with your wire?
I posted the answer above. I shall not answer again, Dog Gone you!!!!!!!!!!!
j/k, 'tis the red.
Also, can you get some microswitches also? I need about 12 of them.

I don't have any, but either a board member might have some, or you could likely just order them.
Here's the kicker: it would likely be cheaper to order a whole button assembly and get the switch that way than just get the switch by itself!
Ok, I ordered like 6 packs off of your site! Can't wait to get them.
Thanks a ton. Hope to order more from you in the future.
:)
Hey peale I just realized I've been using 26 gauge wire and not 22. Will the red disconects still work for me or is there another color I should be getting. If there is a better color could you order it for me and switch out my order? Thanks
Actually they Red are not the samallest QDs, (there are tiny yellow ones) but the smaller ones are very hard to find. And I don't imagine it would me much fun crimping them either as you probably require a special tool for ones that small.Ok, I ordered like 6 packs off of your site! Can't wait to get them.

Daaaaamn, son! What are you building? That's 600 QDs!
The reds are the smallest they make. 26G is pretty small, so you may want to bend it over itself to double it up. I'm guessing you're using CAT5 or similar?

Do you still have my backorder?
I'd be interested in the .250 QDs. Have you ever considered selling Male QDs?
I'd noted a serious slack in sales on the disconnects. And thanks to Buddabing, now I know why...
Now the question...
Is the wire gauge a personal preference or some technical reason
we should use a particular gauge for certain connections like
ground, +5 and such. Seems like most people uses 20-22 gauge.
Thanks for any reply.
I'm just waiting for the tubular locks to come in to place my order tomorrow...
Out of the reds. Before I restock, I need to know the demand for them.
I'll be ordering about 200 or more a week. Thanks.
I'm new here, so maybe I'm missing something, but the website still shows the .187 red disconnects as out of stock.
I would like to order 2 bags if possible.
Thanks
Ditto.
A wiring kit would be nice. When do you think you'll be restocked?
How much more interest do you need? You have the cheapest ones I can find......cant you just buy them anyway, theyll probably sell eventually.
I'm interested in 100 reds. ESPECIALLY since I found I can paypal you with my account (I thought CC backed wheren't ok).
I thought payplay was ok if you had a bank as the primary money source and a CC backing it up.
(I thought CC backed wheren't ok).
I have placed an order for red and blue .187" QDs. I'll post when they're in stock.

What about 0.250 quick connectors?
For every three people that say they want them, one of them won't actually get to the 'buying' stage.
I'm going to be wiring a 4 player CP with 22 gauge wire, so I'm guessing I'll need 100 .187 quick disconnects? I suppose it would be nice to have the two colors, using the blue for ground. The colors aren't for color coding, they indicate different sizes of wire.

Are you going to offer the 50/50 pack for $6.50 again, or is it just 100 red or 100 blue?
Thanks
Also, am I correct that the red and blue .187 disconnects are identical, except for color?
Hey Peale..do you have any more cause i am going to need some pretty soon 8)
