Title: [FIXED[ San Francisco Rush 2049 SE Graphic Glitches [FIXED]

Hey guys,

I just noticed some graphic errors popping up on my Rush 2049 arcade.

I only see them at certain times, mainly in the actual races. The loading/attract mode does not have them, car select does not have them either.

I dont think its an issue with the monitor because its fairy new, maybe 10 hours of on time. I checked the video cables, took what  I think is the graphics card (On far left of board) and cleaned the contacts. I didn't want to start taking chips out  because I dont really what what I am doing or looking for.

Do you think this might just be the graphics card going bad?
As you can see below, the sky has horizontal lines, and the Map/car also have the same lines. these only show up when racing. Other times the lines will show up on the roads but they are vertical.

It could be the graphics card or the power supply.  Those are definitely render errors so either the card is bad or it isn't getting the proper voltage.

Thanks Howard, the power supply is available online so I will check that out. I also found some troubleshooting steps in the manual that I will try when I get home.

Question about the Video card, the manual says its a Betson Imperial Board “Voodoo3 – 3500”

I am guessing these cant be swapped out with another Voodoo3 3500 APG board? I am guesing their board has special firmware or something?

Switched out the HDD for a Flash Card kit, replaced both rom's also since it came with the kit, checked voltages and used an external monitor. Still happening. I gotta find a new graphics card but its seems damn near impossible.

Well I found a 3DFX Interactive V32316 Voodoo 3 PCI card on ebay for 50$ Bucks. Ended up working and fixed the glitches.

Nice man, if I were you I'd keep an eye out on ebay for those and snatch up a few more whenever they come up just in case another one goes bad for you and you have trouble finding one again...
