I bought a Jamma loom/connector for my new project. The video-ground wire wasn't soldered properly to the group of wires that attach to the Jamma connector, and it came loose.
The "right thing to do" is probably to remove the heat shrink that covers the spot where the bundle of ground wires attach to the Jamma connector, and then solder the loose wire together with the rest of the group.
An easier option is to use different dedicated ground wire (not daisy-chained) which I otherwise would not be using at all and splice the disconnected video-ground wire to the other ground wire. I'd do the spice by twisting the wires together well, and then encase in electrical tape or heat shrink.
Is this a bad idea?

BYOAC Soul Brother #1 Neph likes to tell me that ground is ground, but I would fix it myself.

If the video-ground doesn't have a good connection, what would the impact likely be on the monitor display?
