Title: Vertical cab. Do i need 2 or 3 buttons?
Post by: markc74 on June 12, 2017, 02:26:35 pm
Hi guys,

Hoping someone with 'the knowledge' can help. I'm building a vertical cab and not sure whether to go for 2 or 3 buttons. Mostly I'll be playing the classics but don't want to rule out any modern shooters as it's a genre I'm slowly starting to appreciate. I'll be using a servostik so will be 4 and 8 way games.

I know gunsmoke uses 3 but are there any must-have vertical games that use 3 or will 2 do for 99% of the good stuff?

is it a 1 player CP only or 2 players ?

There are lots of vertical games that can be played by 2 players at the same time.

name a few:

Scramble Spirits
R-Shark

there a lot of more.....

I say if you the room for a third button, got for it. or you can always add it later on.

If you are pressed for space you can do 2. gunsmoke can be changed via a dipswitch setting for the game to enable single button mode.

you can still add this Simultaneous Players games in a single layout CP.

Just have a single coin in and single player 1 start button.
