When I first saw this game I wanted to build a cabinet for it. After almost two years I have finally found some time to start on this project.
It's going to be a old-school Pac Man cabinet with some glitc(http://www.xs4all.nl/~hansolo1/PM256/glitches.jpg)

The cabinet is going to be pacman on the left and glitch on the right. I had some big vinyl stickers made and ordered a plexiglass marquee with backside printed graphics. The cabinet is going to have a 32" screen which just fits. Also coming, glitchy marquee and glitchy buttons.

That is a well executed theme. Nice.
-
Ehhhh.... losing me on that art. I think the glitch stuff is too prominent.

Too prominent in coverage or size?

Think I would say the same TBH,
Got some more overall pics? Be nice to see how it fits with the sides etc.

too bad really this is a one player panel. IMHO half the fun of this game is when it's played with multiple players at the same time.
-
Cabinet looks great Sjaak! I'm still not sure about the art (too busy).
Never really played this so I'll have to check it out.

I've never heard of this game, I must look it up.
I LOVE that art! Great job so far!
-
I like the art! Very clever. I would like to see 2 player controls and a coin door. Can't wait to see this finished.

More pictures of the cabinet with all the sideart. T-molding on the right is going to be black, but I ran out of black t-molding...

Its a bit black for my tastes!
I think if I was doing this I would of replaced the power pellets in the pac man maze with the random coloured characters.

Or leave the side art factory and maybe have the glitches smaller and creeping upward from the corners? Similar to how the actual game plays....
-
when a player dies in this game a resurrection thing appears on the maze to resurrect other players. It's a lot of fun with 4 players trying to keep everyone alive and in the game before the screen wipes you out. you have to avoid ghosts and the kill screen to get to other players and bring them back. I still think this game is made for at least two players. Four players is best. This game isnt much fun single player but I guess that depends on the player.

Or you know since he's clearly already printed and installed the artwork... we could move on... >:D
Would look better with a coin door doh...
-
Meh, he's made out of money. He can reprint.
A coindoor would fix 90% of what's wrong with the front of the cabinet, though.
-
A coin door would help allot :p

I wish...;) but seriously can anyone point me in the direction of an original pacman coindoor...or something very similar
-
Great project! I've wanted to do the same thing since I played this game. However, I agree 1/2 the fun of this game is playing with at least one other person. And 4 players is a real blast.
Really interesting artwork approach. The blend of 'old' and 'new' is cool.
I'm definitely watching!

Found this one on ebay. He has a lousy picture for the auction so maybe no one else will bid on it.

Did I miss something here?
I see that you have the screen mounted vertically...but if I'm not mistaken, the PC version only plays horizontally. Maybe the developers added a vertical mode since I last played this game but I thought the game was restricted horizontally.
PS - I know the iOS version plays vertically.
-
I played this on a vertically oriented cabinet like 2 years ago, so obviously 'it can be done.'
Fill us in, sjaak.

The game adjusts to different resolutions nicely, so if you run windows in portrait mode the game goes vertical.
