I thought about it... I never played it. Never even heard of it... however once I got home and did some research that game looks pretty freaking cool. I am thinking about it. The guy says it plays good... the artwork is all there and original.

Mike A, If you want it bud I suggest a road trip. If not I may pick it up.

That's generous of you. I can't get to Milwaukee until Saturday. I think I will call tomorrow and see if I can work out a deal and get it locked up.

Yeah, feels like 300 to me too. It is the sort of title you will eventually sell off if you get actively in the collecting hobby (unless you have a 100 room gameroom or something).

I am supposed to pick it up tomorrow. Anywhere between 3 and 4 hundred is fine with me. I plan on holding onto it. I have 7 games right now. I have room for probably 20 more. I could put 100 in my basement. >:D

Then you are a good buyer for that.

Pleiades is a good time waster. Great pickup.

Let me know a weekend you are free. You can stop by if you like. You can have a few beers, play some video games, and I make an excellent pizza from scratch. New York thin crust, or Chicago deep dish style. That would be a pretty decent sales commission.

Mike... for you that would be a finders fee... lol. Make sure you take a pic of it!

It really is in great shape. The control panel needs to be cleaned. The monitor needs a little adjustment. The image pulls upward on the right side. I have to drill the lock. No key. There is no screen burn. I don't know if the monitor was replaced at one time or if this machine has seen very little use.

It looks great - nice pickup!  I only just now noticed for the first time that "Pleiades" is misspelled on the attract screen.

Pleaides was well behind the frontier of tech and gameplay when it came out, thus an unconverted Pleaides probably only saw 1-2 years on location before being pulled for something that could earn more, which could explain the lack of burn.

Great pickup. These Centuri cabs are real nice. That monitor issue seems to be fairly common with Phoenix/Pleiades. I've seen it several times before.

When I have time to drill the lock and get inside I will start to diagnose it. I am not very skilled in that area, but I am excited to learn the more technical side of arcade machine ownership. So far I have installed a cap kit in one of my machines. I also refurbished the steering controls on my Championship Sprint cab. They sucked when I bought it. I had to disassemble the wheel assemblies, clean them up, and lube them up. They work great now. I also had to solder the connector back onto the optical sensor, and add coin mechs to the coin door. That is about the extent of my knowledge so far. My Defender cab developed some graphical glitches last week. I hope to tackle that next weekend.
