I've still got Mame .71 on my Box..thats one of the earlier releases supporting CHD file games......
I've seen a few releases since then, but was wondering what (if any) major revisions had occurred for the END USER...
You know how mame loves to release versions that really dont do alot for the average mame end-user....but I was wondering did anyone have a list of the really cool things the newer releases do? Any really good new games that are actually playable on sub 2Ghz processors, etc...??
Curious!
Someone said they fixed the no-sound problem of Primal Rage.....but..what else...?? I'm not looking for the definitive list, just some quick opinions..

A LOT of gun games have been added since .71... most will play well on a sub 2 gig system. The next version of mame will include a complete re-design of the memory handling functions. Some games might be quicker, some might be slower, we might not see any difference. Stay tuned.
