I assume this is a 19" monitor, but I haven't measured it. Don't know the brand name. Don't know if it works. The screen has a lot of burn. I've got it out of the cab and sitting on the floor so I can take better pictures if anyone is interested in it. I'd prefer to give it to someone who can pick it up, since I'm sure it would cost more than it's worth to ship, and I have no idea how to go about packaging it so it doesn't get broken in shipping.
If nobody takes in a week or two it's going in the dumpster, it's big and in the way.

I'm in Oklahoma, Tulsa area.

I'd be interested, where are you?
Even if you're not close, DON'T toss it out. You can remove the tube and ship the rest of the unit.

Sorry, duh. I'm in Oklahoma - Tulsa area.

I guess I can do that if you can tell me how to do it safely. I'm very wary of monitors, which is why I chose to replace this arcade monitor with a PC monitor and not even try to get it to work.

Too bad, you'd get the best picture. They're really not that big of deal, IF YOU HANDLE THEM CORRECTLY. I've been working with decased monitors for years, and have yet to be zapped once. It all comes down to not touching anything metal except the frame.
Well, first thing you should do is discharge the tube. There's a good write-up on the main site about that.
After you've done that, it's a piece of cake. Just take off the anode (the suction cup) and remove the board from the back of the tube (it should just slide right off)
Unbolt the tube and you're done. At least, that's the practical way of doing it. Perhaps Ken Layton could chime in...?

I think I'll wait and see if anyone local wants to pick it up. If I don't get any bites I may remove the tube. It's that whole "discharge the tube" part that scares me. Like I said, I don't know if it even works.

Stingray, I may be interested. I'll email you in a few days about it and see if you still have it.

You should try it out! Really, it's not hard. I think you'd be happier with an arcade monitor than a PC one.

What kind of artwork is that on the cabinet? Is it for "The Hand" or "The Glob" or something? I have never seen it before.

From Peale:

You may be right about that, but this one is pretty badly screen burned, and I'd really rather go with an easy monitor solution on this cab, being that it's my first one. Maybe an arcade monitor in the next one. ;)
Namzep, are you in Oklahoma? If you want to pick it up it's all yours.
Paige, the cab was originally BluePrint ( http://www.klov.com/game_detail.php?letter=B&game_id=7172 ), though it had undergone a pretty sloppy conversion to something else by the time I got it. I'd love to be able to keep the artwork, but it's in pretty bad shape. The pictures make it look much better than it looks in person. Here's a shot of the side art:

Yeah, I'm in Stillwater. I won't be able to get up there for a few days, though. If you can hold it that's definitely cool.
-
Consider it yours, just let me know when you want to pick it up.

Would either Monday or Tuesday (any time on those days) work for you? LMK.
-
Sorry, I didn't get this until this morning (monday). Send me an email and we can arrange for you to pick it up.

Thanks for the monitor, Steve. :)

Not a problem, I hope you can put it to good use. My wife is thrilled that it's out of the house!
