How difficult is it to remove the Shinobi artwork?
I am thinking of buying this cab because I love Moon Patrol.
I have never stripped artwork before and it will affect my negotiations if I can be reasonably confident I can save the paint job.
The cab is a half hour from my house. If I can get over there I will take some pics of my own.

Easy to hard. Depends on how the shinobi artwork was applied. No pics to be able to really help you.

most vinyl artwork can be removed with just a simple heat gun. Should be easy.

sorry. I forgot to attach the ad pic.
This was some serious asshattery.

Looks in good shape. I would bet you can get that off with minimal damage. If the price is right I would go for it - good luck :)

Thanks. Getting the right price is always the trick.

Are you sure that isn't a dedicated Shinobi?

Personally the first thing I would try is to lay it on its side and spray it down good with goo gone (not goof off). Then cover it with paper towels and wet those. Let that sit for as long as you need to then see if that loosens the artwork. I would do that before heat because I would not want to damage the paint beneath. If you do resort to heat try a hair dryer first. Whatever you do do not use a stripper like Citrustrip. That will eat the paint right off.

Preheat the sticker with a hair dryer and try to peel off the edge. Then just keep heating the the part you try to pull off and hope the paint doesn't stick :timebomb:

Yeah... goo gone and goof off are meant to loosen up paint. Just read the label... one of the first things it lists is dried latex paint remover.

Thanks for all of the advice. I am going to make an offer and see what happens.
