Here are two small 1 player bartop designs I dew in sketch up. I would like to know what one you like best.
They are only 320mm high

Id prefer the 2nd one.

I like the 1st one

The only beef I have with the first one is that the CP may not be deep enough on the angled part. The joystick underside might hit. Then you would need to add a space/gap and based on the 2nd pic it may get cramped or not fit all buttons you want.

On a bartop the panel should be as low as possible, standard bar heights already place it kind of high and you don't want to make that worse.
Ditch the marquee area, real bartops didn't have that.

I like both designs, but before cutting anything, I’d definitely verify there is adequate space/clearance on the underside of the panel for all of your desired controls to fit.
I came very close to duffing up my first build by not checking this. I just looked at my planned control panel layout from the top and said “heh, plenty of room!” but it’s misleading because things like joystick bases, the tightening nuts for your buttons, the required bend radius for wires, terminals sticking off switches, etc. call for a much larger footprint on the underside than you might think. I ended up having to bend a bunch of my switch terminals 90 degrees to squeeze out a millimeter or two of clearance so that everything would fit in the control box—it was a close one, but I won’t make that mistake again.

thanks for the replies. I will have to make a cardboard one and test the joystick and buttons for clearance.

I think the monitor sits too far back in both of those, which will minimize the best viewing angle. You want to make sure you'll be able to see the screen if your head is above the marquee and you are looking down into the game.

I made some changes to the first one so now the cp should be deep enough. Also the height at the front of the cp to the bottom of the base is 93mm.
