Hi have a super 6 plus two that im rebuilding, the monitor went out, so i put a 10" LCD screen in, via the rca vid port, i took the tube tv completely out. an powered the LCD via the power supply for 12 volts for monitor.
Have a lil blur to the bottom of the screen...
Biggest issue is that the coin when dropped through the coin slot, seems to reset the game altogether, an jack it up so that a full re-power is needed to see the main screen in pre play mode.
door ground has been modified, an dip switches are correct. anyone have thoughts?

Recap your power supply.

Recap your power supply.
hi thanks for the reply, can i ask why cap the power supply if all output voltages are correct?
whats triggering the failure, an causing reset? open circuit?
thanks for any more help

Do you know it is always correct, all the time, that it isn't dropping out sometimes? Those Super 6 power supplies are 30+ years old at this point and I always recapped them as a first step.

I would guess that either a ground is no longer there due to the monitor being changed, or the load when the coin drops on the circuit is enough to pull the power down and cause a reset.
What LCD did you use that has an RCA connector? been considering one for mine.

used a 10" monitor for an auto, designed for 12 volt, an have a rca video in.
there is 2 grounds going to the old monitor board, maybe your rite an i need to close the ground circuit, ill have to research the schematic... ugg been 20 years plus since i learned to decipher them... not sure i can.... haha
my voltages were tested with everything connected... thanks for sharing your thought also...
