How can 2 players play the jungle hunt game with 2 different controls?

Set it the way you want in mame under TAB?

don't work.
I tried and it didn't work.
Only control #1 works for both players.

You can assign multiple inputs to one 'action' in MAME. Basically, you have to change player 1's config so that player 1's controls accept both joysticks. For example: Press TAB, go to 'Input (this Game)', press return to enter the menu.
Go to 'P1 Up', press return. Now press joy 1 up. Press return. Press joy 2 up. Now you should be able to use both joysticks for 'up'.
Rinse and repeat for the rest of the controls.

what yamatetsu said, but keep in mind each player can ---fudgesicle--- with each other.

Its a 1 player game who's cab only had 1 set of controls. When you died you stepped out of the way and let the other person play, just like Pacman.

Exactly. There's no need to set it up any other way normally.

This is how the original game works.

If you want it to work any other way, you need to modify the original game and add a second separate control for player 2.



OR....

You cant setup both players for controls and tell the second player not to screw with the joystick when it's your turn.



or......


have a common Ground switch and flip that it cutting of the connections for the the other player while the other is playing or be adventures and do it automatically using some relay switches.


I think, stepping out of the way when it's not your turn is the best option.
