Does anyone happen to have the dimensions of a Galaga Upright cabinet?
I'm not so concerned with the width , as I am the height and depth ...
Thanks in advance !! ;)

I might be misunderstanding your question, but did you see the sticky thread "Any interest in original cab dimensions (http://www.arcadecontrols.org/yabbse/index.php?board=1;action=display;threadid=11347)"? All known cab dimensions are collected there.

That was the first place I researched , and still couldn't find the answer.
It looked as if JAKOBUD's site might have had the original specs, but it's down at the moment. I did see another, but it looks more like a pac/galaxian than Galaga.
I'm pretty sure the specs are almost similar give or take an inch or two.
I won't have the cab in my possession until the latter part of next week, but I wanted to jump the gun and make preparations for the arrival.
Will I be MAME'ing it ? No-way!! ... but I do have to shop and dress it accordingly.

Weird, I have no trouble getting onto jakobuds site.
Another option is Wouter's page Arcade Cabinet dimensions (http://retro.co.za/arcade/cabinet.html) (Allthough these contain some false measurements)

If Wouter's page is even close on some of those numbers, it's plenty for what I'm needing to know.
I must have overlooked that somehow. I remember seeing Jakobud's site, still on luck getting in ... must be my isp >:( and some site that had a few plans like galaga, tempest, sinistar etc...
Wouter's did the trick though ... thanks !! ;)

There is some confusion (well at least I'm confused) what the actual height is. Wouter's page says 67.5" and jakobuds measurements add up to about 66.5" (as I remember). But it could also be that they measured at a different point.
The depth is another issue. The bottom part is probably 30.5" deep at the bottom and 31.5"just below the CP.
BTW, are you getting a complete Galaga cabinet (with all the artwork on it)? If so, were you planning on some vectorizing? I'm still looking for a (set of) high res bezel picture(s) Also, I've vectorized the CPO, but I'm still not sure about the colors.

I believe the Galaga board , or something internal is causing a few problems with the cab. Anyhow, the board is being replaced by a 6'n'1 Jamma PCB.
It just so happens that Galaga is on the new Jamma.
I havent seen the cab except for the front/top, as it was behind what looked like an army of cabs. (perfectly lined up, about 15-20 across, 10 rows back. ) I ruined a pair of britches while in that warehouse! ;D
Anyway, sorry for the rambling. ::) I need to design something new, and was curious how big of an area I actually have to play on.
After thinking of my original request, I should have worded the headline differently to read side-art specs. As I'm hoping to create a comparable image using the same dimensions as the original. :P
I still appreciate your taking time to show me the links I overlooked.
BTW ... If it turns out the bezel is still in place, I can shoot an ultra hi-res image for the board and pass it along for someone to vectorize.
I'll know more as it makes its way from the back row to the front.

No my site is up. The Galaga/MsPacMan plans are on there too. Let me know if it's problems with your ISP and I will email you the dimensions.

He, he, that must be cool, not knowing what you get exactly ;D In fact it's the same with me as I still have to build my cab :o
If you find there is still a Galaga bezel in there you'd really make my day with some pictures that I can vectorize.
