I am running Slackware64-14.2 and have compiled GroovyMame 0.182 myself, the GroovyMame NAG screen doesn't look nice and big and sharp as what it does on GroovyArcade? Also games appear to fill the screen better with no tearing on GroovyArcade than what it does on my build.
• The kernel is patched with 15khz mode and that boots ok, with same command line arguments as GroovyArcade.
• I copied xorg.conf and GroovyMame configs over from GroovyArcade but it made no difference.
So what am I missing to make GroovyMame look like how it does on GroovyArcade?
Do I need to patch xf86-video-ati?

Make sure to create a new mame.ini file with your newer build (run mame -cc).
Fonts look worse on low resolutions since recent versions. You can use super resolutions to compensate that.
