So friday, I have the day off, and decide to empty the basement to make room for the rest of our stuff and take a load to the dump--at the dump i notice a large bin marked electronics, and me never shying from a good dumpster dive, decide to have a look--low and behold computers, printers keyboards etc. So i pick up two machines and get a free 24X cd-rom (with windows XP Pro CD still inside) a couple floppy drives, some pentium chips and a ATI rage II with video out.
Then at the Starburst auction I pick up a cabinet in very good condition just missing the game for $50 (through in a new power supply and my new 25" wells gardner sprang to life) I also managed --with urgings from the missus, who ended up buying it, bought a beautiful stargate pin for 875$!!
I need a day of rest from all this good gaming fortune...

Congratulations...you bastard :)
I missed out on 3 Dell GX1's at a thrift shop because I did not have a monitor to test with and little time. Finding good PC stuff at the dump is pretty awesome though, I can't beat that!

Menace did you go to that auction here in Atlanta?
If so did you keep a price list of what a lot of things went for?

Floppy drive??? They're not even worth the time it takes to unscrew them from the drive cages. ;D

They're priceless when you only have one between 2 machines :-[ Don't worry, on my next dumpster dive I'll get some good stuff :P ;D

Good weekend for me too. After a long search I finally managed to track down a dead cab, so my MAME project can finally get off the ground.
