Title: Yikes - Took apart cabinet and now need help putting it back together again!
Post by: jtb1987 on January 15, 2017, 12:29:50 am
Hi guys,

This is probably going to come across as a crazy post, but I'm not sure what else to do other than post the situation -

I've bought a MKI cabinet, that had been converted into Tekken3, with the intention to using it for my first MAME project.

I took apart the internals and put them to the side as I worked on restoring the cabinet and building the control panel...now that I'm ready to revisit testing/putting the pieces back together again, I"m completely lost because I was an idiot and didn't take pictures of where everything was connected ( :banghead:  :embarassed:
I do know that the original game/machine was working when I first bought the cabinet - I do remember the game looked a little color dim

I know some of the pieces but not all and I'm not really comfortable trial & error connecting things together. I didn't know what else to do but to take an inventory of the pieces and connectors and hope that someone can help me identify the pieces/match or provide any guidance...

My end goals:

With those goals stated, I'm attaching pictures of the inventory I have of things I'm either unsure of what they are, or where they go in relation to connecting to one another. If anyone is willing, I'd really benefit from help identifying the pieces and understanding where they match/connect to. Thanks for any help anyone is willing to provide...I'll attach the pictures in this post and one follow up post....not pictured is the JPAC

Continuing images of the inventory of items -

Please let me know if I need to provide more close up images of any of the pieces...

And again, I apologize for the out of the ordinary post and thank you for any help or guidance...

Whew, I was able to figure out how to put it back as it came originally...I think...

But now I have a new problem...the tint of the screen starts out blue...then turns to a green tint about 30 secs later...

Is this a sign that the monitor is going bad? Or have I just hooked it up wrong? Pictures attached
