Title: Best Madden game for PS2?

A workmate is a big NFL fan, and has a PS2 but has never played a Madden game! Which one would you guys recommend?

Last one I played regularly on PS2 was Madden 09. I would just go with the latest one they made, Madden 12 because they didn't change very much between years there towards the end. If you want to have some cheap fun, get a Madden 08 or older & play with Vick - he was unstoppable back in the day.

Initially I was thinking the last one would surely be the best, but once I looked into it, the last few were parallel with the PS3 version, so was concerned it would be a bit gimped. Unless of course it was the other way around!

NFL2k series. I always preferred that over Madden.
