I currently have two Ultrastiks hooked up in Input mode. Player 1 works great but Player 2 recently stopped functioning. Windows 10 is seeing it as controller 2 but when I go into the game controller properties, the Axes section is not shown and the button clicks are not registering. In addition, the game controller properties window sometimes shows 3 buttons and sometimes shows 32 buttons (again, no clicks register). I've tried different USB cables and ports, disconnecting all the buttons, reconnecting them one at a time, nothing seems to work. What's strange is Ultramap detects the joystick and I can see the movements registering correctly in that GUI so I know the sensors are working. Changing maps didnt help. Anyone run into this issue and know of a fix?

I haven't had this issue. I would contact Ultimarc support. Andy is pretty responsive.

I don't know if its the same issue but every once in a while window gives my articles a new ID and it completely Borks my setup and I have to exposure the joysticks again. For example; joystick 1 will now be seen as joystick 3 in Windows and inside mame it still show joystick 1 which means it won't work.

MAME has a way to recognize the sticks even if they change ID. Check the MAME wiki for details.

Thanks for the tips. Just wanted to follow up. I had to take my control panel apart to finalize the artwork and used that opportunity to test the controller on another computer. Windows recognized the controller correctly, I could see the controller movements register in the joystick GUI and the buttons were displaying properly. At least I can rule out any issues with the joystick hardware. I'll follow up if/when I get it functioning again in my cabinet in case anyone else runs into similar issues.
