Hey guys, just wondering ....... on my video card for my PC I have an S video connection (which I use for my Arcade Screen which is simply Sony TV), and I also have a VGA port available on the rear of the PC coming from the same video card.
What happens if I connect the VGA to another external source like a projector? Will it show the same output as my Arcade?
Anyone try this?
I would try it myself but I don't have access to my machine for 2 weeks.

it should. most cards can do many outputs at the same time with no problem.
some older ones couldn't do 3 analog. my old ATI with VGA/SVideo/DVI could only do 2... enabling all 3 (and using a DVI to VGA adapter) would cause the voltage to dip and the video to falter. it would have probably worked just fine if I used the DVI digital cable, since all 3 sources where feeding of the analog signal path.

You should be able to set the displays as mirrored or extended(2 separate output) under display settings of the PC.

When using dual out, do NOT use VGA. You'll run into issues every so often where the VGA monitor will not show the correct refresh rate or signal. If all you have on the video card is HDMI/DVI/Display, and want to use the VGA, simply use an HDMI or DVI to VGA adapter. You'll have alot less headache. But to answer your question, yes it will work, though not as well as it could.
