Title: Neotec NT-2700N Question
Post by: djsniperwolf on January 04, 2017, 04:45:22 pm
Hi Guys,

I have received an offer to buy a Neotec NT-2700N for a neogeo/mame cabinet I am rebuilding. I am going to be paying about $100. Is this CRT ultimately compatible with Rasp-PI or anything of that nature. I am under the assumption that the monitor only accepts its native resolution.  While I am really glad to have found this deal, I am a bit worried that it will not work with the configuration that I am going for!  Anybody able to provide some insight??  Thanks!!

the straight 2700 is a 15k standard resolution monitor.

if you are looking for VGA you are going to need the 2702 variant

15k standard resolution (560x240) - 2700
25k medium resolution (640x350) - 2701
32k high resolution (640x480) - 2702

it's easy enough to drive with some custom resolutions/scalers etc.

Well, I picked it up. Seems to be an unused monitor which is amazing! Unfortunately, my Neo-Geo Cab is a 25". So I will have to sell this one and seek a 25" inch. Maybe I can run across a Wells Gardner at some point. Thanks for the help!!

I recently picked up 2 Sega Net City cabs, and I noticed that his Neotec will fit in one of the cabs that is missing a monitor. I am going to Mame this cabinet.

Couple quick questions!

1.  Do I need an Isolation transformer?

2.  I don't see a video input wire with the monitor, would a Jamma harness take care of this?

I have been out of the MAME'ing scene for quite some time so I am in need of some refreshing.  Thanks!
