Hard to explain what I mean in the title . . Basically I have some dedicated buttons on the cab (coin door, pinball buttons on the site, admin panel) that I want to always be connected via a mini-pac inside the cab. But I want to be able to dismount the CP, which hypothetically would use the same mini-pac.
Is there a way to wire the buttons from the CP to something that would allow easy disconnect?
Something like this:

But I'd need to crimp/attach the wiring myself. Right now I have a separate old I-pac handling the cab buttons which is kind of a waste.

Cat 5 network cable works.

Could use a variety of DB9 or DB25 connectors depending on how many connections you need

They run from about $1 to $6 depending on the number of connections and come in both male and female connectors

How about cutting a DB25 extension cable (https://www.amazon.com/DB25-Male-Female-Extension-Cable/dp/B000BSHIMO/) in half?

Add some loop clamps for strain relief and euro-style terminal strips and you're good to go. ;D

Good idea - just make sure the one you get is like this one (It says in the description : this serial cable uses a straight-through configuration and wires all 25 conductors. ) - but some sellers sell ones that are not straight-through configs or leave out some wires !!

or you could go with a real arcade solution like a 15 molex connector.

Yep. That's what I am doing. Molex parts I ordered from mcmelectronics.
