Does anyone know of a good resource, or a way to easily configure a MAME Rom to correspond to the traditional arcade game?
Example - I own a few games like NBA Jam that I want on MAME. But, the buttons are not correct. I tried to just map them over by writing everything down and reconfiguring, but I screwed it up and can't get Retroarch back.
I am wondering if there is a source that spells it out. Turbo = button 1. Jump = Button 2...

id assume.. what youre trying to do is map custom buttons to the original game layout? Im not all to familiar with retroarch personally so i cant help with that but in mame you would go into the tab menu, and set the buttons accordingly. as for spelling out the buttons, i would just look up the control panel of the game, and map them as comfortably as possible according to your control panel.

Yes, that is exactly what I am trying to do. I was hoping there might be a resource that made the translation from MAME to the Arcade Config.
Bad news - I tried this last night and I screwed up the configuration so badly that now it seems permanent and I can't revert or remap to the standard configuration. My P1 Joystick (Right) feature is now like a "Shift" feature. Any idea how to revert back to defaults?

How comfortable are you with the command line?
Which emulator are you using? lr-mame2003, or AdvMAME, or lr-fba...etc?
Are your controls still correct in the general retroarch config and other emulators, or are they broken across the board?
